On December 2, Silvera for Seniors held an Open House at the Pineridge Community Centre. Silvera has submitted a development permit application for Phase 2 of the redevelopment of the Gilchrist site.
At the Open House, members of the Pineridge community and prospective Gilchrist residents had the opportunity to view the site plan for the entire redevelopment, as well as drawings of the existing and proposed buildings on the Gilchrist property: view drawings.
Phase 1 of the redevelopment, now under construction, will add 61 new one-bedroom suites in an independent living environment. Silvera for Seniors will hold an Open House early in 2016 and welcome visitors who are interested in viewing the completed Phase 1 building.
The proposed Phase 2 building, the subject of the development permit application, will provide 114 new Supportive Living spaces. Residents in Phase 2 will receive meals and support services within the building. The common areas in Phase 2 will also be available to the residents of Phase 1 and Gilchrist Manor.
