See yourself in our story by giving our residents a sense of home that they’ll treasure for the rest of their days.
Give comfort – $10 per month
For $10 a month, you can give comfort to our residents through our Comfort Closet program. Your monthly gift will provide personal hygiene products like shampoo, toothpaste and laundry supplies, so residents have the necessities they need to live their lives to the fullest.
Give independence – $25 per month
For $25 a month, you can give the gift of independence to our residents. Your monthly contribution will assist in providing those who may not have the financial means with taxi vouchers and bus tickets to get to appointments safely. You will also help support participation fees for outings and gift cards that help cover things like haircuts, hearing aid batteries, eye exams, eyewear, trips to the dentist and denturist.
Give memory support – $40 per month
For $40 a month, you can help support programs for those in the early stages of dementia, who are having challenges connecting with their past. This would include programming like pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy and participation in a horticulture program.
Give connection – $50 per month
For $50 a month, you can provide residents for whom English is their second language with access to English lessons, translation services and interpreters to help give them a sense of belonging within their community.
Give to promote active aging- $60 per month
For $60 a month, you can help our resident’s age in place with dignity. Our Active Aging program is ever evolving and requires things like exercise equipment, arts supplies and gardening gear, so our residents can enjoy their “silver era “by staying active.
Help create homes – $100- $250 per month
Seniors are the foundation of our communities, and by the early 2030s, about one in five Albertans will be over the age of 65. To meet the growing need for affordable housing for seniors, Alberta needs to build 50,000 new housing units by 2031. This is where you come in. Through your generous gift of $100-250 a month, you can help Silvera raise the capital support needed to continue building affordable housing for our growing senior population.
Give to our Silvera Cares Fund
Our Silvera Cares Fund is unique because it allows our community managers and residents to decide what they need the most. It could be a new shuffle board, a day trip, or new equipment to make their community feel more like home. Whatever your budget, the Silvera Cares Fund is designed to give residents a choice to continue building a sense of community and home.
