To understand how much rent you will pay as a resident of Silvera, please refer to Line 150 of the most current tax year Notice of Assessment for your income. Then use this figure in the calculations. For example, single person renting from the Confederation Park Community will pay 58% of Line 150.

The Government of Alberta mandates that an individual must have a minimum of $315 of disposable income left over after rent is paid.

  • Couples are charged 66% of combined income regardless of the community. Base rents for couples are $1,221 (one 65+), or $1,715 (both 65+).
  • Single occupancy in a double room is charged at 73% (or 78% at Beaverdam)

To qualify for a community there are two options:

  1. To pay the percentage of income rate, you must have an income of at least $1,710 per month.
  2. Pay the base amount and have a minimum of $315 remaining monthly.
