Michael is an ardent advocate for employee development in the seniors housing sector as one way to raise service standards for seniors.
For more than 30 years, Michael has held various human resources line and management positions for a variety of organizations and across sectors, including oil and gas, post-secondary, healthcare, consulting, and government.
He has been Chief Human Resources Officer with Silvera since 2010, leading the strategic planning and implementation of Silvera’s HR efforts, including talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, training and development, compensation, engagement, recognition and change management.
Michael holds bachelor’s degrees in Education and Social Work, and possesses several human resources designations and certifications, including Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP), Certified Compensation Professional, and Certified Benefits Professional.
Michael loves travel and has visited more than 50 countries. He also enjoy cooking, reading and fitness walking.
