Support seniors during the season of giving and gratitude

During this season of giving and gratitude, we warmly invite you to support the seniors who call Silvera home by contributing to one of our resident funds or sponsoring a Silvera Sparkle Day. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in their lives:

Silvera Sparkle Days allow donors to sponsor a Christmas meal or lend a hand with volunteer service. To sparkle means to shine brightly with countless points of light—and this Christmas, we invite you to be a source of connection and light in one of our Silvera communities. If you are interested in supporting one of our Christmas projects, please reach out to Nadine Maillot at [email protected] or 403-470-1412. Read this PDF for details.

The Silvera Cares Funds ensures residents have what they need when their finances can’t quite stretch to cover unexpected expenses. The fund also supports initiatives that celebrate our residents and promote positive mental well-being – simple things like making sure every resident has a warm winter coat.

The Transitions Program helps residents with moving or cleaning when they are moving into or between Silvera communities. This program supports residents who don’t have a network of their own to help them.

The Medication Assistance Program helps residents who cannot afford their medication or other supplies, such as compression stockings, hearing aid batteries, or syringes for insulin.

If you’re looking for more information about Silvera’s resident-led 2025 Calendar, we regret to share that we have sold out. Thank you for your interest in this celebration of aging.

Special Project for 2025: In collaboration with the YMCA, we will be introducing a Strength and Conditioning Program. This program is designed to improve mobility, balance, and overall physical fitness through tailored exercises. By focusing on building strength, endurance, and flexibility, these programs help seniors maintain independence.
